Power Armor Systems

The following systems may be selected to outfit a suit of power armor. REMEMBER: Consider the mission of the power armor suit, before you select systems. There are a LOT of systems included below, and you cannot by any stretch of the imagination, manage to fit every one of them onto one lonely suit of power armor.

Sensory, Communication, Safety, and Other Systems

Communication & Specialized Computer Systems; This section includes an array of communications equipment available, plus a number of computer systems that appear from time to time in power armor.

Control Systems; These systems control how well the suit reacts to the actions of the power armor pilot. It is required that one of these be selected for any suit of power armor.

Defensive Systems; This includes specialized spoofer systems meant to thwart various targetting methods and sensor systems, electromagnetic pulse defenses and active missile defense systems.

Environmental & Survival Systems; This section includes life support systems primarily, but also other optional systems that may increase the likelihood of survival in a suit of power armor.

General Systems; This section includes a variety of accessories that do not fit under other categories such as a winch & grapnel, built in tool bins and a few other odds and ends.

Interface Systems; These are the systems that allow the power armor pilot to react with the world surrounding their suit. Whether this is through a couple of slits in a helmet protected by mega-damage glass or whether this is a high tech virtual reality interface system, they are all reality interface systems. It is required that one of these be selected for any suit of power armor.

Power Systems; These are the power sources of power armor units, and the details of their functions. It is required that one of these be selected for any suit of power armor.

Propulsion Systems; This section includes jet systems of various types, underwater propulsion packs and a specially designed set of climbing claws.

Sensory Systems; This section includes a wide array of sensors and optics.

Specialized Modifications; This section includes an assortment of modifications to suits, such as the replacement of legs with tracks, telescoping arms, three fingered claw hands, weapon arms, etc.

Weapon Systems

Anti-Personnel Weapons; These are lighter weapons designed specifically for negating lightly armored personnel without expending the cost of using the larger weapons. This includes weapons such as ramjet machine cannons and light rail guns.

Backfire Packs; These are specially designed systems to provide a variety of additional tools to a power armor operative, including flechette packs, minilet bomb packs and crowd control packs.

Disposable Ordinance; These are rocket and missile launchers capable of being mounted on power armor units for a variety of purposes.

Energy Weapons; These are ranged combat energy weapons such as laser cannons, plasma cannons, partical beams and the like.

Grenade Launchers; These are weapons specifically designed to propel grenades over lengthy distances.

Hand to Hand Weapons; These are weapons designed for use in close quarters, this includes vibro-weapons, saws, blunt weapons and energy blades.

Heavy Weapons; These are the heavy support weapons commonly found mounted on assault, heavy assault and general combat power armor units. Weapons such as infantry support cannons, rapid fire field cannons, most rail guns and similar will be found here.
