Blood Hawk

by Edward May

The Blood Hawk is nothing too out of the ordinary, resembling a gigantic Peregrine Falcon, only that it's feathers are blood red. It's beak, claws, and skin are also all pitch black, and it's eyes are a disturbing shade of red, which glow when the creature is attacking, or thinking evil thoughts.

To date, the Blood Hawk has only been encountered on rare occasions when traveling in dimensions where demons are known to congregate in large numbers. Despite this trait, the Blood Hawk is not a true demon, but a psuedo-demon, similar to the Gargoyles actual relation to demon kind. Typically, these creatures will be used as cannon fodder by more powerful demons and evil magic users alike, sent ahead of the hordes to inflict damage upon the enemy from the sky. They are sadistic creatures which enjoy causing others pain, but even more so, enjoy ripping gaping wounds into their prey, and then feasting on it's internal organs while it is still alive.
